Searching out Betty Lou’s Library gives you that half-secret, tucked-away feeling of discovering a great spot before everyone else. The entrance is quietly hidden behind a bookshelf façade at the back of a historic 17 Avenue block, and once you've got the password, you’re welcomed into a velvet-lit room where cocktails meet live jazz. Inside, the room glows with chandeliers and velvet chairs, and the bartenders lean into classic builds and house creations. Live jazz shows up often, which totally fits in with the space. We love the small ritual of the password and the bookcase door because it keeps the mood focused and the crowd present. It's intimate, warm, and easy to recommend when someone asks for a place that feels special.
