Blue Star Diner is the Bridgeland spot you think of when someone says “let’s do brunch,” because it feels like a neighbourhood table first and a diner second. The team cooks with local staples which gives simple plates the extra love. We love it on a slow morning, then a walk through the area after and for their solid happy hour. The room stays lively through the week and runs later Tuesdays to Saturdays, so a burger or a plate of chilaquiles works just as well after work as it does at ten in the morning. It's run by the amazing people behind Dairy Lane and the new Small Bar (previously Cannibale), and that steady hand is why it still feels friendly and well cared for.
